Summer Reading Opportunities
While summer is a time for relaxing and spending family time together, it is also a time when a few minutes reading every day can help students maintain or even accelerate their reading comprehension and fluency!
Our reading specialists, Mrs. Jennifer McGlade and Dr. Janet Gebhardt, have created a 10-week reading comprehension program for both grades 5 and 6 which is available on their Fusion pages. You can simply download one 5-day set of interesting text and comprehension questions each week from either link Mrs. Jennifer McGlade's Fusion Page or Dr. Janet Gebhardt's Fusion Page . It should only take about 15-20 minutes each day to complete the program.
Also on their Fusion pages are lists of recommended book titles, some recommended reading websites, and ideas for helping your child become a better reader. Happy Reading and Happy Summer!
