6th Grade Algebra Testing
On Tuesday, February 14, 2017, an informational letter regarding the upcoming Algebra prognosis testing that will be used to determine your childís mathematics placement in 7th grade was given to your child.† In addition, a video has also been prepared to further supplement the information that was outlined in the letter.† The video lasts approximately 20 minutes and can be accessed at the following site: https://vimeo.com/202325465

Hoops for Heart
Hoops for Heart will run the week of February 27th - March 3rd.† During the week, every student will have the opportunity to participate and watch.

Take your child to work day
The National "take your child to work day" is coming up on Thursday April 27, 2017.† If your student will be participating in a work related function that day (full day or half) please consider the following guidelines that have been established to streamline attendance for the day.† There will not be any new PSSA test administered on this day but students that need to makeup a test will have testing on this day.
Please fill out a trip form for the absence in advance.† The student's teachers will sign it as well as the House Principal.† You will not have not have to call the absentee line in the morning an upon return your student will be able to make up any work missed.† You can click here to print a copy of the SF Adult Sponsored Trip Form.
Please note that if your student has exceeded 10 days of absence during the school year, the request will be denied.† Attendance records can be accessed through skyward.† If you have any questions please contact the office at (610) 705-6003.

For informational and planning purposes, please keep these dates in mind when scheduling appointments and/or trips. Testing will be held during the first two hours of the morning.† If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.
6th grade Hershey Trip
On Thursday, June 8th, the 6th grade will be making their end of the year field trip to Hershey Park.† We will be leaving from school that day and will not return until approximately 7:30 p.m. at the 10-12 Center.† The cost, thanks to successful fundraising by the Home and School is only $50.00.† This money is due on Tuesday, February 7th.† Checks may be made to Spring-ford.† Click here to see the Parent memo.

5th Grade End of Year Extravaganza!!
In lieu of an end of the year field trip, the 5th grade will be participating in an EXTRAVAGANZA to be held during the day and on school grounds.†Itís sure to be an exciting and fun-filled day!!!†Please complete the attached permission slip and return to your childís homeroom teacher along with payment of $25 by Friday, 1/27/17.†
ARTOME IS COMING TO THE 5/6 CENTER!!
The 5/6 art show will be on Wednesday May 24 from 6-8p.m.
Artome is working with the 5/6 this year to offer a framed artwork for each student.† The artwork will sell for $25.00.† More information to come!!!

Upcoming Student Activities
The following after school activities will be offered at the 5th/6th Grade Center.....students should listen carefully to morning and afternoon announcements then follow the directions given in order to express interest in the various clubs.
Builder's Club - The first meeting will take place on 10/6...meetings are held before school on the first Thursday of each month.
Computer Club - Several sessions will run throughout the school year with the next one starting on 1/26 - 3/2. Click here for more info.
